Prince Frederick is located in the center of Calvert County at 38°32′55″N 76°35′19″W (38.548720, −76.588748). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.7 square miles (9.5 km²), of which 0.004 square miles (0.01 km²), or 0.11%, is water.
